The Challenge – Think, Explore and Evolve [T2E] – one day workshop Organised by ISiM in association with IBM and CSI

International School of information Management (ISiM) in collaboration with Computer Society of India and IBM India, hosted a one full day workshop on “T2E – Think , Explore and Evolve Challenge” @ ISiM campus on 16th April, 2011, 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM for the students and academia.

Mr. T.N Seetaramu Hon Secretary CSI Bangalore Chapter was present on the occasion from CSI Bangalore, to oversee the workshop`s activity. A team headed by Mr. DATTATREYA S VELLAL, Technical Experts Council – Member and Chaired by Ms. Shailaja Mallya from IBM India coordinated in conducting the workshop. An overview about cutting edge technologies such as plug-in development, WEB 2.0, And DB Management was presented to the participants.

The objective was to introduce these technologies to the students with hands-on Lab sessions that would help students in getting across the ideas of managing data base and developing plug-ins. A session on WEB 2.0 was held in the view that it is more than a set of ‘cool’ and new technologies and services. Topics such as direct or indirect reflections of the power of the network; the strange effects and topologies at the micro and macro level that a billion Internet users produce were also discussed.

Certificates were distributed to the participants at the end of the program.

A T2E contest will be held at RV College of Engineering on 07th May, 2011. Those who attended the workshop are eligible to participate in the contest. An individual or up to maximum of 3 in a team can take part in the contest.
