Prof. Shalini R Urs Chairperson, MYRA School of Business & Executive Director ISIM, Mysore
Prof. Shalini Urs conceptualized and founded the autonomous ISIM institute (International School of Information Management) at the University of Mysore, with munificent grants from the Ford Foundation in collaboration with University of Pittsburgh, Syracuse University, University of Michigan in USA and Dalhousie University in Canada. She has also spearheaded the digital library movement in India, through her globally recognised project Vidyanidhi Digital Library project. She has been a Fulbright scholar, recipient of NDLTD–Adobe Leadership award, Emerald Research Fund Award, and Mortenson Distinguished Lecturer – 2010 from the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign, and others. She has served as an UNESCO expert on several occassions. Travelled widely and invited to speak at many international conferences and workshops, she is internationally recognised in the world of digital libraries. The InfoVision summit series was initiated by Shalini Urs in 2005.
Dr. Vijay Srinivas Agneeswaran Director and Principal Scientist, Impetus
Dr. Vijay Srinivas Agneeswaran has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering from SVCE, Madras University (1998), an MS (By Research) from IIT Madras in 2001 and a PhD from IIT Madras (2008). He was a post-doctoral research fellow in the LSIR Labs, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne (EPFL) for a year. He has done an internship in Siemens Corporate Research in Bangalore and was with another product development company - Oracle for three years, He subsequently spent a year as principal architect position with GTO, the research arm of Cognizant in Chennai, where he led the Extreme Processing group within the High Performance Computing Centre of Excellence and created Intellectual property in the Big-Data space. He has now taken up the position as Director Technology/Principal Scientist as head of the Big-Data R&D at Impetus. He is a professional member of the ACM and the IEEE for the last 7+ years. He has filed patents with US and European patent office’s (with one accepted US patent) and published in leading journals and conferences, including IEEE transactions. His research interests include distributed systems - cloud, grid, peer-to-peer computing as well as machine learning for Big-Data and other emerging technologies.

Mr. Anand is the Chief Data Scientist at Gramener. He has advised and designed IT systems for organisations such as the Aditya Birla Group, Citigroup, Honda, ICICI, IBM, Oracle, RBS, SAP, Steelcase, Tesco, etc. Anand has an MBA from IIM Bangalore with two gold medals and a B.Tech from IIT Madras. Mr. Ravi Padaki is a Product Management and Marketing professional with technology background focusing on online display advertising, analytics and big data. Ravi has over 15 years of experience in the software industry having worked in US for Sybase (now SAP), Kodrak, HP in the past. He was most recently with Yahoo, product managing analytics for Right Media. He now runs a management consulting firm specializing in data and analytics. Ravi is also the Founder and President of India Product Management Association, a non-profit organization to drive excellence in product management in the Indian ecosystem. Dr. Abhinanda Sarkar Data Scientist COMPEGENCE
Dr. Abhinanda Sarkar has PhD (Stanford), M. Stat (ISI). Master Black Belt in lean Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma (GE). Stints with GE, IBM research Labs MIT complementing business applications & research across multiple domains ranging from financial markets to gravitational wave detection. Previously, Dr. Abhinanda was Principal Scientist, Software Sciences and Analytics, in GE Global Research based in the GE John F Welch Technology Center in Bangalore. He has led and contributed to services technologies for GE Energy and GE Capital focused mostly on risk management and reliability. In a research career with GE, IBM, and MIT, Abhinanda’s publications and patents have been in applying statistical and probabilistic methods to areas such as wind energy forecasting, bond market analytics, biomedical text mining, content-based image retrieval, wireless network interference, gravitational wave detection, etc. He has been a faculty at MIT and Stanford. He has been a visiting faculty at IIMB, IIIMA, ISI Delhi and Department of Statistics at Stanford University among others.

Mr. Sanjeev Kumar VP and MD Informatica India
Mr. Sanjeev Kumar is responsible for leading Informatica’s India R&D Labs (a.k.a. “iLabs”) as Vice President and Managing Director. In this role Sanjeev is responsible for formulating the vision and strategy for iLabs, to bring about improvements relating to innovation and scale of delivery. Sanjeev is a member of the Global Product Leadership Team that defines and implements product and brand strategy. In addition to center-wide responsibilities, Sanjeev is also responsible for managing the product development for Messaging Business Unit in India. Prior to Informatica, Sanjeev was the General Manager for WebLogic Integration product (WLI) and head of BEA System’s India R&D Center in Bangalore. Under his leadership, BEA India Center took on complete engineering responsibility for WLI and partial ownership for several AquaLogic products. WLI consistently ranked amongst the top five products for BEA based on revenue. Prior to BEA India, Sanjeev was the General Manager for BEA’s AquaLogic Data Services Platform product (ALDSP) in San Jose, California. Prior to his move to India in July 2006, Sanjeev was based in Silicon Valley, California for over sixteen years that included a variety of engineering, product management and pre-sales roles at Oracle in Server Technologies (database and application server divisions), Object Design and Versant Object Technology. Sanjeev has a master’s degree from Rutgers University and a bachelors’ degree from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, both in Computer Science. He was a Govt. of India scholar at The Doon School, DehraDun for six years. Sanjeev has been a regular speaker at Hadoop/Big Data, Cloud Computing and CXO events in India and Silicon Valley. He has been an invited speaker and a panelist at several industry events on leadership, engineering management and product management. Sanjeev and the rest of his family currently reside in Whitefield in Bangalore. He is still an avid Squash player, and interested in photography and current affairs.

Mr. Sundaresh Iyer joined Nokia on Nov’11 as the Director of Nokia Life R&D. Before Nokia, was part NSN for almost 3 years and headed the NWS O&M Prod Mgmt group – focus on serviceability & operability aspects of products in RAT (LTE, WCDMA, GSM), PN (A-series), ON (hiT70xx series), MWT (firstmile200, fleximultiradio commissioning tool), PaCo (SGSN, Flexi – NS/NG), VIPT (MSS/MGW). Prior to joining NSN, worked in Motorola (~5years, India) and Lucent/Bell Labs (21+ years - USA and India) in senior leadership roles. Started his telecom career as a member of technical staff in Lucent Bell Labs on the 5ESS. Worked on Wire line domain for 10 years in various roles. In Wireless since 94-95. Has worked on GSM, AMPS, TDMA, CDMA access technologies in product development, product management, SAE, Critical Customer Support. In Motorola, was responsible for the (MSS) soft switch – e2e product development & test, customer technical support. Has set up and managed large global teams – USA, India, Spain (madrid), Egypt (cairo), China (beijing&shanghai), Germany (nuremburg), UK (swindon), Ireland (cork), Argentina.

Mr. Sunil Shirguppi is the Head of International Data Services for LinkedIn and currently runs the team from Bangalore, India. He is responsible for heading the team that supports and manages all aspects of the Data warehouse. Before joining LinkedIn, he was managing Marketing analytics for Electronic Arts. Mr. Devendra has over 20 years of industry experience, having spent the last 15 years at Fidelity. He currently works as Director of Architecture in Investment Management, specifically in the Equity Trading area. His focus area is data architecture and domain expertise is in “Investment Management” with special focus on “Equity Trading for Mutual funds” from the buyer's perspective. While in Fidelity, he has done significant work in Data Architecture, Warehousing, ETL, In-memory databases, Analytics, Reporting and BI. Mr. Sabishaw Bhaskaran received his M.Sc and M.Tech in electronics engineering from Cochin University of Science & Technology, India, in 1997 and 1999 respectively. He joined the software development division of Siemens in Bangalore in 1999, where he worked on Siemens' healthcare imaging applications as software developer and architect. In 2006, he joined Siemens' research lab in India, as a staff researcher in their distributed computing group, and was responsible for driving the group's activities between 2009 to mid 2012 as its program manager. Currently he is a technology manager of Siemens' data intensive systems group, which specializes in Cloud and BigData processing technologies.

Mr. Ram Sundararajan is a researcher in the area of data mining and pattern recognition at the Software Sciences and Analytics India organization at GE Global Research. During his career at GE (2003-present), he has worked on problems relating to marketing optimization for consumer finance businesses, risk assessment of credit portfolios, performance monitoring, prognostics and health management for energy equipment, pattern recognition on medical images, asset optimization for hospitals etc. Ramsu is a Fellow (PhD) of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.
