Dr. D S GURU currently is working as a senior lecturer in the Department of Studies in Computer Science, University of Mysore. He obtained Doctorate in Computer Science from the University of Mysore. He is an active researcher working in the field of computer vision.

He has received the prestigious BOYSCAST fellowship from the DST, Goverment of India to take up advanced research at Michigan State University, USA. He has got recognition from KPSC as a subject expert. He has been a reviewer for many international journals including IEEE Transaction on Neural Network, ACM transaction, Pattern Recognition, Patter Recognition Letters.

Guru has published about 135 research papers out of which about 30 are in the international journals. He has produced five Doctorates so far and currently is guiding six Doctorate students.
