Interactive Session on Information Excellence

International School of information Management (ISiM) had organized an Interactive Session on “Information Excellence" on June 9, 2011 at 3.00pm by Mr. Nagaraj Kulkarni, Founder, COMPEGENCE.

Mr.Nagaraj Kulkarni discussed with the participants, the changing world of decision making in the information enriched world using the Analytics and Data mining techniques for the business decision making, with Industry case studies and business examples. The session introduced the “Process + Data +Domain approach” that is essential to achieve successful business outcome.

The talk also touched upon what it takes to be a successful “Information Excellence Professional”, and the foundational skill sets needed for the same – based on the gaps and opportunities observed in the industry.

Mr. Nagaraj is the founder of COMPEGENCE (http://compegence.com/) focused on Process, Data and Domain driven Business excellence.
It helps companies address the growing challenges of Data explosion, Information Overload and Interconnected processes / enterprises. The focus is on Co-Creating Business Excellence Foundations through Process and Data driven Competitive Advantage.

His prior roles include:
Building the people, process and technology layer for HansaCequity. It provides integrated marketing optimization services to Indian companies to help them traverse the analytical marketing journey.
Rolling out the enterprise fiduciary compliance system and advanced BI Technologies, for Intel.
Rolling out the future state “Business Systems Architecture” and Enterprise IT architecture, for Sun Microsystems. He presented for Sun in the ‘Globally Distributed Work’ conference conducted by IIM Bangalore.
Trusted advisor consulting and solution roll out for several clients in US, through PricewaterhouseCoppers.
Part of the TCS team deploying the initial National Stock Exchange Trading solution.
He is an Alumni of UVCE in Bangalore (1990), and IISc Department of management Studies in Bangalore (1993). His continued learning’s have included UCSC Leadership & Management program and ISB’s Venture capital program.
